About me
An engineering student who likes turning messy data and documents into tools people can use.
I'm Maryam, a Computer Systems Engineering student at the University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar. I work across machine learning, generative AI and data analytics, and I like projects that run end to end: from raw data to a model to something deployed that other people can open.
My skills cover machine learning, computer vision, NLP and generative AI. I've trained neural networks and CNNs for image classification, built face, vehicle and fire detection systems with OpenCV, created text models for Roman Urdu, and worked with RAG ideas such as vector embeddings and chatbots that answer from documents. On the data side, I use SQL, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks and Power BI to build pipelines and dashboards.
I've worked as an AI/ML intern at QuantumLogics, where I was a Code Project Captain on the Calculus Runtime project, and as a Data Analytics intern at Systems Limited, where I worked with SQL, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks and Power BI. Earlier, I trained in computer vision at the National Center of Artificial Intelligence at UET Peshawar.
I also teach. I'm a lecturer at POLYCODE, where I deliver programming courses and help create video content for YouTube. Explaining things clearly makes me a better engineer.
